Why is Prayer Important?

At Urban Devotion Birmingham, prayer is essential to our mission of “Transforming Communities One Life at a Time.” Rooted in the belief that every person is made in the image of God, prayer connects us with Him and reminds us of the inherent worth and potential in each life. It guides and strengthens us as we seek transformation for individuals and neighbourhoods, aligning us with God's heart for justice, peace, and love. We believe that prayer opens the door for God to move, bringing lasting change that renews lives and revitalises communities.

We’d love you to join us in praying for Erdington, for UDB as an organisation, and for all the work we do. Below are a number of ways in which you can join us in praying and what you can be praying for.

Bi-Weekly Prayer Video’s

One of the ways you can be pray for us, and joining with us in prayer, is by signing up to recieve prayer videos from our team. These videos come out every other week and give you a chance to see and hear from someone in the team about what we are praying for and what you can be praying for us. These video’s are often a bit more specific and give us a chance to really intercede for our community.

Monthly Newsletter Sign Up

Each month we release a online newsletter that goes straight into your email inbox! It details what we’ve been up to that month, any encouraging stories, a main headline from our month, as well as monthly prayer points. These prayer points are normally about what might be coming up in the following month or other areas of our work.
